Mary graduated from South Seattle College in 2020, where she earned both an associate degree in science and her high school diploma. She plans to pursue a year of Optional Practical Training (OPT) before transferring to complete her bachelor's degree in nursing.
Mary was 17 years old when she started studying at South Seattle. She was very involved on campus during her time there, working in the International Programs office and leading clubs in Student Leadership.
In Mary's free time, she loved enjoying the outdoors around Seattle—skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer.
Reflecting on her time at South Seattle, Mary said, "I really enjoyed my time at South, like the people there—the teachers, my coworkers, everyone—are really friendly and really helpful."
