Marlon graduated from North Seattle College in 2016 with an associate degree in business. He transferred to Seattle University to pursue a dual bachelor's degree in business administration and finance, and now he is working toward his master's degree in quantitative management at Duke University.
During his time at North Seattle, Marlon worked as an International Student Ambassador and completed a year of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in finance. He feels that North Seattle made the difference in his education by introducing him to the fiscal side of business. His internship provided real-world experience, confirming that he wanted to pursue finance as a career.
His advice to future international students? "Get involved the most you can, because that made such a huge difference in my life. I know it's a very tough situation to move from a different country, but by getting involved, you have the opportunity to speak English and meet new people."
